SPARK offers an integrated logistics ecosystem featuring a dry port, bonded area, warehouses, customs clearance services, and logistics support facilities.
The logistics infrastructure enhances supply chain efficiency, facilitates regional and international trade, and provides seamless connectivity to industrial and energy sector investors.
SPARK continues to expand its logistics capabilities through strategic partnerships and advanced logistics infrastructure, reinforcing its position as a leading industrial and logistics hub in the Kingdom.
Dry Port
At maturity, the dry port will offer a high level of automation, and have an annual capacity of 8 million metric tonnes of cargo. Similar to other seaport services, the dry port will provide inland inter- modal services (directly connected by road and the future GCC railroad). The dry port will operate as a centre for the shipment of cargo within or outside the Kingdom.
Smoothing customs formalities, the bonded area in the dry port will be a secured area where dutiable goods are stored and undergo manufacturing or service operations without payment of duty. To improve the value proposition for energy tenants, the SPARK bonded area will allow tenants to import equipment for manufacturing or servicing with the intent to re-export them, as well as enabling regional cargo transit and export businesses.
