King Salman Energy Park (SPARK) celebrated Environment Week 2026 by organizing a series of sustainability and awareness initiatives from June 8 to 14, 2026, reaffirming its ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship and fostering a culture of sustainability among colleagues and their families.

The initiatives were aligned with the Kingdom's broader efforts to enhance environmental awareness and advance sustainability goals. Through these activities, SPARK engaged colleagues and their families in meaningful initiatives that promote responsible environmental practices and encourage community participation.

Among the key initiatives was the launch of a Plastic Collection Competition, involving colleagues from SPARK, SPARK Utilities, and SPARK Logistics. The competition aimed to encourage recycling and strengthen sustainable waste management practices, while raising awareness about the importance of reducing plastic waste and adopting environmentally responsible behaviors. This initiative demonstrated strong engagement and a shared commitment to environmental stewardship.

Environment Week activities witnessed strong participation from colleagues and volunteers, resulting in a significant positive environmental impact. More than 80 volunteers took part in the initiatives, contributing to the planting of over 3,000 trees and plants across the city, the collection of more than 500 kilograms of waste, and the recycling of 4,118 plastic bottles.

SPARK also organized a Children's Drawing Competition to engage colleagues' families and inspire younger generations to think creatively about environmental protection and sustainability. The initiative provided children with an opportunity to express their ideas and artistic talents while reinforcing the importance of environmental protection and preserving natural resources.

These achievements reflect SPARK's commitment to implementing best environmental practices and fostering a shared sense of responsibility through impactful initiatives that minimize its environmental footprint and support national sustainability efforts.
